PAUL'S TIPS
Snowboard wax
One for the Snowboarders.
Seeing as how snowboard riders tend to go from edge to edge, rather than spend
much time riding a board flat on the snow. It stands to reason, that 2 different
types of wax may be beneficial.
I have found that as all your weight is concentrated on a very thin strip of
plastic along either edge, this area requires a very hard wax, such as Toko
“Manmade” Blue wax, or better still any of the Molybdenum waxes. But rather
than use these expensive waxes in the centre of the board, just use the most
basic universal wax, as this lower priced wax offsets the price of the
Molybdenum waxes.
By using the very hard Molybdenum wax, along your edges, your board will require
a lot less tuning, and will also noticeably prolong the life of your board.
